So, exactly where did the House find the additional $825 billion today? Maybe they got a loan from William Jefferson's freezer? Or perhaps it was a gift from some of Ted Stevens' friends? But we all know, they are just passing the expense on to these little guys.
Today, the Cato Institute's executive vice president, David Boaz, was asking what happened to all the Blue Dog (i.e., fiscally conservative) Democrats? That was, like SO early 21st century! Fiscally conservatism (red or blue) went out with other American ideals such as non-interventionist military strategy, habeas corpus, sound money, small government, and capitalism. David, don't be such a fuddy-duddy! We should all relish in our new ideals of deficit spending, preemptive war, transferring select powers from the Legislative Branch to the Executive Branch, nationalization of private banks, and statism.
