While Rachel Maddow Vibrates...

Not sure I really want to know what makes Maddow vibrate, but Paul's easy victory over Grayson (59% to 37%) did give me a bit of hope. Even though I think the Tea Party movement has somewhat been hijacked by the media and others portrayal that the main protesters are racist, militant, angry white people (and there definitely is that component) at its core, I think there still is a base level of discontent with both parties that is driving this movement forward. The biggest problem is that the Democrats are quick to tax, and the GOP is quick to de-tax, neither is quick decrease spending. Whether that be Social Security, Medicare/caid, Dept of Ed, banking/auto/Grecian bailouts, mortgage relief, etc. neither parties leaders have the testicular fortitude to reign in spending decrease the influence of the Federal Government.

Hopefully, Rand Paul will be successful in his bid for a Senate seat and will begin a trend of fiscally responsible people getting us back to the core basics of what our government is supposed to protect.
